About Faulkton

Faulkton is a little town of almost 800 in east-central South Dakota… We like to think we’ve got what’s needed to live well in a small place–including a new state-of-the-art medical center, great school system, affordable housing, and amenities galore. Faulkton is a great place to grow with a family and a place where many choose to spend their retirement years.
Recently, our community took a look at what we’ve all accomplished in the past 15 years, including a new swimming pool, community center, and hospital among other things. We decided that we should start dreaming again about what Faulkton will be moving forward. We are working with the Rural Learning Center out of Howard, SD to accomplish this. This blog is a place where we can share our dreams with one another, and can share what’s happening in our community. Welcome to Authentic Faulkton!
